Principal’s Message

Principal Nancy Link

Hello and welcome!

Central School is known for its welcoming, family atmosphere and deep commitment to our students’ education. We believe all our students can and will learn. We also believe they will become lifelong learners and will develop a love of reading.  The teachers and staff are very dedicated to these goals and they work tirelessly to help our students.

I feel I am blessed to work with this amazing group of people and to get to be with your children all day. I grew up in Napa then graduated from the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science. I received my teaching credential from the University of San Francisco, then taught middle and high school science for five years in the Bay Area. I moved to Tracy and taught life science and math for nine years at Monte Vista Middle School. After graduating from La Verne University with my Master’s in Administration and Administrative Credential, I became the Assistant Principal at Monte Vista Middle School. After six years there, I went to North School as Assistant Principal for one year. I was then lucky enough to become Principal of Central School. I have loved my time here.

Central School is over eighty years old. Even though we are in a brand new, beautiful school building, tradition is very important here. We love that our bricks walls, huge windows and hallways along with many other historical items have come to this new school building with us.

I am the mother of four children, grandmother to two and I love my time with them. Since they are my treasures, I know that your children are your treasures also. I strive to treat them that way and ask that all staff here treat them as such. I believe we should always be “kinder than necessary”, especially to our Wildcat children.
