Principal’s Message

April Jacobs, principal

Welcome to Central School, Home of the Wildcats!

I am delighted to welcome you to another exciting year at Central School! The 2025–2026 school year marks my 22nd year in education and my eighth year serving in TUSD. Before joining Central, I taught 4th grade at Jacobson Elementary and served as Assistant Principal at Art Freiler School.

Originally from Wisconsin, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and have taught in Prince George’s County Public Schools (MD), Orange County Public Schools (FL), and Antioch Unified School District (CA). My teaching experience spans 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th grade ELA. I’ve also worked as a Reading Specialist and Testing Coordinator. In addition, I hold Master’s Degrees in Reading as well as Educational Leadership and Administration.

Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, camping, and spending time with my family. My boys keep me busy with band competitions and a variety of extracurricular activities.

At Central School, we believe in the potential of every student. Our dedicated team works hard to provide a meaningful and engaging education that prepares students for the challenges and opportunities ahead. We are committed to creating a learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to thrive.

I encourage you to stay connected and involved in our school community. Your partnership plays a vital role in our shared success. Be sure to explore our website for important updates and resources. We also recommend joining Parent Square and downloading the app to stay informed through text messages and email notifications.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. I look forward to a year full of learning, growth, and memorable experiences.

Go Wildcats!
Mrs. April Jacobs, Principal
