Principal’s Message
Welcome to Central School, Home of the Wildcats!
I am delighted to welcome you to another exciting year at Central School. This will be my 21st year in education for the 2024-2025 school year, and my seventh year in TUSD. Prior to coming to Central, I taught 4th grade at Jacobson Elementary and was Assistant Principal at Art Freiler School.
I grew up in Wisconsin and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have also taught in Prince George's County Public Schools in Maryland, Orange County Public Schools in Florida, and Antioch Unified School District in California. I have experience teaching 1st grade, 2nd grade, 5th grade, 6th grade ELA, and was a Reading Specialist and Testing Coordinator. I also earned my Masters in Reading and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Administration.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys. We like traveling to new places. Our boys also keep us busy with their sports and extra-curricular activities.
At Central School, we believe in the potential of every student and are dedicated to providing a comprehensive education that prepares them for the challenges and opportunities of the future. Our dedicated team of teachers and staff work tirelessly to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences, ensuring that each student feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential.
I encourage you to stay connected and involved in our school community. Your support and partnership are invaluable as we strive to create a positive and enriching environment for our students. Please explore our website for important information, updates and resources.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. I look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.
Go Wildcats!
Mrs. April Jacobs, Principal
